Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Better than takeout. Tender beef strips and crisp broccoli in a savory brown sauce — ready in 25 minutes and loaded with protein.

Ingredients

  • 300g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Cooked rice to serve

Instructions

  1. 1. Toss beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over very high heat until smoking.
  4. 4. Add beef in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes without stirring to get a good sear, then stir-fry for another minute until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. 5. In the same pan, cook garlic and ginger for 30 seconds. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Return beef to the pan, toss everything together, and cook for 1 more minute. Serve over rice.
