One-Pot Tomato Basil Pasta

Everything goes in one pot — even the pasta cooks in the sauce. Minimal cleanup, maximum flavor, ready in 25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti, broken in half
  • 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil and Parmesan to serve

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine spaghetti, crushed tomatoes, broth, onion, garlic, dried basil, chili flakes, and olive oil in a large pot.
  2. 2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently to prevent the pasta from sticking.
  3. 3. Reduce heat to a rapid simmer and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring often, until the pasta is al dente and the sauce has thickened to coat the noodles.
  4. 4. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  5. 5. Serve straight from the pot, topped with fresh basil and grated Parmesan.
